Like most things, condition is the most importasnt factor, none of the figures in either auction you posted are complete hence the low price. I expect the second lot will go for more than they are currently on, mind you Ebay can be very hit and miss.

Yep what he said,,, if you dont mind condition or completeness you will pick up a collection for cheap if you are strict with your bidding limits.

- Set a limit for a figure, or in a lot look closely at the average price.

- Reproduction weapons and accessories DONT ADD ANY VALUE.

- Only pay what you feel it is worth to you, not what is either the implied rarity or value.

- Ignore variations,(until you know what your looking at) or any item that even remotely seems suspect no matter how good the deal.

- Avoid anything with L@@K in the title, or that is sold from spain.

and read the scammers and arseholes thread on here.

The first item is a rough condition, incomplete Teebo figure. It is vintage but worth about what it sold for.
The 2nd auction, again, is a lot of bad condition, incomplete figs and the value is about 50p to 99p per figure or round abouts. As a lot it will probably sell for about 7 or 8 pound. Remember, there is over a day left on it.

Cheers guys. Will look at the Arsehole threads on ebay now.

Concerning the variations and accessories, i haven't the faintest idea what is the original or not. i have checked out the Lando website thing too so i am sure i will pick it up soon!

Lets get this whole Christmas thing out the way then i will concentrate on building up a decent collection

I again have no idea what the figs are worth, nor do i understand what makes a complete fig. But i am picking things up as i go! Thanks alot guys 8)

Here is a link to RebelScum.com's Vintage figure check-list (so to speak). It lists every figure in the vintage line, when they came out and what accessories they had.

All figures are worth different amounts based on their age/date of original release, condition, rarity and popularity. Ranging from a few quid to a couple of hundred (tho that top end is quite rare and usually reserved for very specific variants). It takes a little while to figure out but you'll get there soon enough. I'm new to it and still learning but that RS link helped a lot. I read through every single figure and made sure i knew what each was supposed to look like and what accessories each was supposed to have. Saves a lot of time in the end.
Plus people on here are very knowledgable and always willing to help... and only occasionally laugh at you for not knowing basics...
