has the vintage bubble burst or is it still inflating of floating nicely?

have prices of loose and MOC gone down now or still relatively high.

Is the variant collecting still popular. I remember a time a few years back I was continually in battle with a couple collectors buying loose han hoths I'm sure I over paid lol.

Just curious

I wish I sold my spare loose a few years back. I was flabbergasted by the prices on facebook groups

I've been seeing quite a few fifty quid, or thereabouts, MOCs on eBay auctions. Prices I think are down on the last couple of years, but not so much as to make me rush out and buy too much.
I think it's more a buyers market than a sellers.

Only example I have from a recent purchase would be a lovely DT Luke for £650. Not exactly bargain of the century, but far better than the 8-1400 most appear to have been selling for

As above, the market is certainly slow, but then again it's Summer time, so you would expect that.
Top end stuff still sells, run of the mill items (Kenner ROJ MOC's etc.) are cheaper than they were 2-3 years ago.
Variants are still popular and sort after, if priced right.
Last 17 loose have certainly dropped, but still aren't what they were 8 years ago, but if they aren't competitively priced will sit around until the seller realises he isn't going to get what he paid for it.
I think a lot of collectors that are reasonably new are/will be in for a shock once they try to sell…the old listing comment that really make me see red of "only selling for what I paid" will hopefully be a thing of the past when they release prices can go down as well as up.

And yes that DT Luke was a great buy at that price @lejackal , I was very tempted and now quite jealous.

He's yours for 9 😝

He doesnt keep things long lol. I'm the opposite I'm a hoarder
I operate within my means and within space limitations. I hate having stuff piled high if I can't display it and appreciate it. Over the years I've built a small, solid core of a collection. Then I rotate around it.
