So, if in a galaxy far, far way Star Wars never existed, what would be the driving force behind your collection? I'm a bit of an all sorts type of guy, but aside from Star Wars (and indiana jones) mine would be the Ghostbusters toy line.

I don't know if I'd collect in the way I do if there was no Star Wars but if there was no Star Wars it would most likely be something else I had as a kid or toys from something I liked then or now. Prob Transformers, Action Man or A-Team. I do have an interest in other vintage toys and have picked up a few over the years. Wouldn't mind having a cabinet with a mish mash of all different 70's and 80's action figures, anything at all that I like.

I already collect a few other lines, A-team,He-man,Turtles, but my other biggest focus is my gi joe. I tend to go for things that i had when i was a kid they make me feel warm and fuzzy inside :) i only started collecting startwars a few years ago but never had any of the toys as a kid..... didn't even see the films until i was 18  I just love action figures from the 70s 80s and 90s

Action Force, Inpro dinosaurs (already collect these), maybe Britains Space, Action Man or Scalextric.

Action Force was my brother's toy line (and is again), but I have really fond memories of it, so that or Action Man as core toy lines as possible other lines for me. I think though if it wasn't Star Wars at all, I'd be far more scatter gun in my collecting, a bit of everything that held nostalgic feelings as that is the main driving force for my SW collecting room.

Oh yes, Scalextric! I really loved my gold ford rally car with light up headlights and my white whale tail ford rally car too! hmm... a collection of those would be very good to build up
**leaves to look at eBay**

It would be Action Force/GI Joe but I've already started on that, in fact I onto the next step which is G1 Transformers. I'm finding them far more rewarding than Star Wars at the moment.

MOTU without a doubt so tempted to buy a MOC He-Man but the wife says if I buy any He-Man stuff she will buy a dog.

Would other toy lines have taken off in the same way as they did is the question. Same with music if the Beatles had never existed.

The world would have been massively different without star wars. What the **** would we all be doing now!? :?

I've already chosen, Kenner's Real Ghostbusters. I'll always be a Star Wars collector/fan but I was a Ghostbusters kid growing up, that really was my entire world back then.

Quality! You'll come home and she'll be playing fetch with your mint Skeletor, he'll be nestled in the mutts chops amongst the teeth and slobber

Love a bit of Ghostbusters. Don't know if you have Netflix Joe but I saw a great busters fan documentary on there the other week. Worth checking out

I have a small modern Star Wars collection. But my main collection will always be Football trading cards. Topps, Panini and Futera are my main collections and I have in excess of 1500 different Arsenal cards. My best item is a 1 of 1 Franz Beckenbauer autograph card. In my introduction post (a long time ago, blah, blah, blah) I gave a rather low estimate to the total amount of cards I had, but now after getting a new storage unit for them, I can now say I have well over 60000 cards. I also have a small but steadily growing collection of Star Wars trading cards.

Im sure we'd all find something else to spend our money on :)

Indiana Jones and Judge Dredd/2000Ad for me......although I have kind of kept up with most of these anyway so maybe I would have gone further with my AD&D collection from JLN, or Mego 8" figures.

Gotta love some classic mego's! :D

Think I would have got further into micronauts, still got most of my childhood ones, bought some more off ebay years ago, when reasonably priced but now like everything else they have risen in value and you never see them at boot sales, and the bigger playsets that I never had are expensive when complete and boxed. Amazed that so many survived as they where really quite fragile, like to check out Toy Polloi every now and then as he likes to spread the micronaut love :D

The only place I could stash my Ghostbusters - Under the stairs :( The MOC's are too big to fit in the standard display.
