First figure was the one and only...Lord Vader...couldn't be anyone else really could it? I also got a Stormtrooper within a day or two...then it just kinda snowballed from then on...

The Falcon may well have been my first vehicle...but I can remember the first time I really saved my pocket money was for Darth Vader's Tie Fighter...cost me £12 and seemed to take forever to get the funds together..but wow...what a feeling when I went into the shop and picked it up...classic days!

Mine was the Falcon with a few figures. But the one figure stands out was my luke farmboy. Sadly I have lost him during one of the many battles and adventures we had together. I still have everything else though all stored together.

The mighty Chief Chirpa.
I still have this figure in my collection (a bit outstanding) and is the reason for my CC focus.

I can remember buying my first figure like it was yesterday. I was so excited to go to town with my Mother to buy my first figure. It was 12 back Darth Vader. I couldn't tell you what my second figure was and so on, but I do have memories of buying certain figures.

As for first ships and vehicles, they all came at once for Christmas. The Falcon, Tie-Fighter, X-Wing and so on.....

One of the last figures I bought was an Anakin baggie, Solo Carbonite or General Lando.

Any of these for me, think for Christmas 83'.

Millennium Falcon
Snowspeeder
MLC-3
AT-ST

Then figures,
Han Hoth
Luke Jedi
Hoth Rebel Soldier
Chewie
R2 sensor scope
C-3PO RL
Stormtrooper
Hoth Stormtrooper
Darth Vader

Still have them all. :D

My first Starwars toys I had were figures which were all of the first 12 with the exception of the Jawa...this was my birthday in 79' (I were 9 years old)....and I still have those figures to this day 8) .....

My first vehicle/ship was the X-Wing but unfortunately I don't have it anymore :( I swapped it for some other toys at the time.....I can't remember what know...I no it wasn't Starwars though

my 1st figure was boba fett , i found him sticking out the mud across from my old house - still have him , thats what started it all for me , id never even heard of star wars at that point

Mine was an At-At Driver back in 1980 after I had just been to see a double bill of Star Wars and Empire at my local cinema. It cost £1.59, by the following week I had eight figures and a papermashe Hoth base. I was ten at the time, Star Wars has been in my life ever since. I have fond memories of going into my local toy shops just to see the figures and dream of owning them.
Back then Chesterfield had about four independent toy shops which were all fantastic, toys were just better back then.
When I take the kids into the local Toys R Us it saddens me to see how poor the toys are.
I am sure some of it is just rose tinted glasses on my part but today's toys even the Star Wars stuff just has no appeal to me at all. When I was eleven the same age as my son is now I was massively into Action Man, Star Wars, Scalextric etc my son has no interest in toys at all.
He is more bothered about his iPod or his PS4, I know stuff like that wasn't around back then but being a kid snack then just seemed more fun. Apologies for taking the thread in a different direction but I just felt like venting a bit.

Sure I had a couple of pieces before these but my first memory of opening something that was Star Wars was at Xmas, getting a Battle Damaged X-Wing and a Rebel Transport. Figure wise It was LXW, which seeing the responses above seems beyond lucky on the matching combo side of things - well done Mum & Dad!

Palitoy Darth Vader bought off the toy stall in East Street market the sunday after watching at Peckham Odeon

For that christmas I got The Force Beam and proceeded to hit my 5-year old sister over the head with it

IMy first figure was Vader. I've no recollection of buying him so I suspect he was bought for me. First vehicle was, appropriately enough, Vader's TIE Fighter which was a Christmas present. Great ship!
