What to do?

3 weeks ago on a Tuesday- both mine and mothers car got keyed.

We live in a rural area (population 300).

Then on the Wednesday the cars got done again.

Fast forward to last night (Tuesday) it was done again.

Contacted the police tonight- got reference number.

How long should I wait in this bush?

What would you do?

I'd buy one of those mini spy cams that can sit on your car dash board and record on an SD card and catch the ****ers on film.

If it's light enough (streets lights etc). I'd try to film it. Get a decent camera and film the ****ers at it. Post it on youtube. Facebook and hand it to the police.
If/when you find out who it is also make sure their parents get a copy.

Haven't appset no one and the only pub up the road is friends and they were empty last night.

If it's happened three times you can count on it happening a 4th. I'd imagine cameras would be reasonably inexpensive given the leaps and bounds in that kind of technology but if it was me I would probably just camp out in the car or garden and wait..

It's either that or threaten the other 290 odd people in your village till you find the twat(s)!

You can camp for days as joe suggests or buy a camera. Some very good small camera are GoPro's, these record in HD and they autofocus when filming, you surely will get a clear pictures of who does it with this cam.

If someone does it to my car a couple times like that, he better not have me catching him whilst doing it, because it will be a rough day for him.

Grant, Could it be the neighbour you were considering contacting the Social services on last year or one of their friends ?. This could be their way of getting you back, just a thought. People who feel they've been messed with can have long memories some times. Grant.

PS I like Weasels idea the best along with the camera's so you are 100% sure you are carrying out some rightful retribution on the right person. 8)

It's not those neighbours. It's a Hutt with 4 kids and I'm friendly with the kids.

The Hutt wouldn't dare as my car is uphill and she doesn't do hills.


I think another car has been done up the road.

Police are involved now and are helpful.

Criminals in rural areas don't realise that in any incident that happens, the police will have a top 10 list as most people are normal non-pikey citizens.

****ers! I hate cowards, I'd do what Pate said & also get some still of them from the film & put some photos up locally after the police deal with them, public humiliation is no less that what they deserve, hope you get to the bottom of this Grant.

It's always either kids, someone you know and have pissed off, or some nut job with an issue about parking on the footpath. 100% it will be one of those.

Find outlet....plug in cord...take opposite cord end...cut off...wire to body of car...watch them piss their pants and **** themselves at the same time once the metal key makes contact.

or you can simply use the cars battery...less explosive though.......

Grant, I think TFB is onto something here this sounds like a great idea LOL. Id opt for the battery tho. This happened on one of my friends streets but every body's car got scratched. It ended up being a kid about 12. Hope you find out who it is. Nothing worse than a sneaky coward. Grant 8)
