After having a discussion with Paul (stormtrooper37) about SW lego I thought what other Lego tie - ins would you guys like to see?

I would love to see The A-team and hammer movies in lego

But also James Bond would be great - check out these mock ups (not mine)

That Bond stuff is top notch. Would buy that in a heartbeat, however. I susspect Lego might object to their Logo being used. Shame those wont be on shelves but will watch to see if the chap makes any more.

I know - I would buy them also - doubt we will see Bond lego though

Agreed a Bond set would be cool 8) as would the A team :)

So why wouldn't there ever be a Bond set :?:

mmm Good question buddy, Not sure if th eBond theme would fit in with their ethos, and they dont hold any licence to produce bond lego products.

Lets hope they will - in fact lets email Lego!!! :D

I'm sure I had some of the space lego as a kid. We had so much it was insane. My favourite set I had was a big fire boat!!!

I would love to see 'Red Dwarf' done as lego sets. The Starbug would look awesome, and a mini Kryton lego figure would be ace!

 red dwarf would be great :)

I've still got my 80's space monorail set boxed, haven't had it out and tested though, really need to check the contents and electronics.

So you think because Bond is basically aimed more at an adult audience they wouldn't produce as getting around the licence isn't a problem really, they just cut a deal and watch the money roll in.

I'm surprised they haven't ever cashed in with the Simpson.

I dont really know mate - just speculating but they would make a bomb - already do right enough

You guys want to hop over to the Brickset forum for this.

Essentially Bond is not child friendly enough to fit with the brand, although that is mostly a crock when you look at all the other IP's the produce. What is more likely is the Bond brand is not aimed at kids so the marketing crossover isn't either. So where the violence etc in Indiana Jones, Star Wars, even PoTC is just as bad as Bond it is softened and the IP's are squarely aimed at younger audiences. Bond has a largely adult audience and that isn't where the mass sales are. Then there is the licensing mess that is Bond, MGM, Eon, Sony who the hell know now and the cost to acquire rights to the largest film franchise in cinema history wouldn't come cheep. All in all Lego will never make Bond - at least until Disney buy Bond :)

As for The Simpsons, a deal was announced earlier this year but no specifics yet - http://www.brickset.com/news/article/?id=5946

Yep, makes perfect sense to me :) shame though because those sets would be amazing.

The Simpsons doesn't surprise me, took them long enough though.
