Np mate, if you've got a question about something the archive probably covers it somewhere, it's a great resource!

Do you know if any of the metal spray masks have ever cropped up Joe?, I got it word of mouth from an ex palitoy worker that they were used here at Palitoy, so it would make sense that some of the other European factories may have also had to do the paint app's on figures, but from what I know none have ever been found.

I've definitely not seen anyone share a Star Wars paint mask Frank but there are a few out there from other lines. Pretty sure Derek has one from the Kenner Aliens line, see if I can't dig up an old link on it (with picture perhaps).

It would be soooo dam cool for one to turn up Joe, if only the scrap man back then knew what they were melting down for peanuts eh, such a sad loss as well when you think about it, yeah a link would be ace & as you know photos always go down well :)

We must be getting old Frank, it looks like we've spoken about paint masks before and totally forgotten

Check this old thread lol: http://www.starwarsforum.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=16520 looks like the info in that thread must have prompted the OP to go to RS and ask and Derek posted his Aliens paint mask over there: http://forum.rebelscum.com/t1099844/

You need to get back to that old dear and get some conversations taped by the sounds of things!!

making figures like this is a lot of work, they must pay these overseas workers a pittance to do it, and even less during the vintage line

Yeah I remember us having a little chat about these before Joe, but was hoping some more info may have come to light since, nice to see the alien one 8)

from what the woman told me they were multi sectioned with hinges so one part could be flipped into place/sprayed & then so on & on, I really do need to go have a very long chat with the good lady, Scott said he'll come along & record everything on video so if I ever get round to it I'll get it on here somehow, pre warning though, she can talk the hind legs of a donkey - even worse than me she is  but that will be a good thing for us

I spoke to Tom N once and he clarified the dumped at sea version. With regards to Blue Harvest stuff, i owned three lando skiff pieces-they were top notch.
