What films should Hollywood make?

Given that they blatantly ran out of ideas about 15 years ago, the old favourite "hey, I remember reading a comic of (insert name) lets make a film out of that!" is running out of ideas, and there are only so many sequels/prequels/reboots/and remakes you can do. I thought I'd make a thread where we throw some ideas out there.

Obviously everyone knows Hollywood film guys read SW forums so we're bound to get a few of these made!

Personally I'd love to see them make "I am Legend", but be true to the book, though as that means they can't have the happy Hollywood ending that probably shoots that one down!

I have a few other ideas but I'll throw it open to you guys first.
PS, any suggestions for Ewok films, or Ewok porn will result in a ban! :wink:

Ewok por..... er I mean slasher flick.

A Judge Dredd films in the same vain as Robocop (ie ultra violent, heavy satire and dark comedy) seeing as they seemingly bodged the new film.

anotherworld! a classic scifi game for the amiga 500/600 that would make a cool film also.

Man that game was hard to play with the fastest ship. My mate could do it though. Was pretty good to watch when someone who knew what they were doing had a go at it.

it was tricky i may have to dig it out and play it again! the ps1 version wipeout 2097 had a awesome booming soundtrack too from recollection

It did.
It was a pretty good game I reckon. Had a fun two player mode. I think the little yellow ship was the easiest one to use? I remember the dual hull one being slow and sluggish to start but at speed it moved out. Watching somene belt around that track that collapsed everywhere...I think an Earthquake was going on or something in the level?...was pretty cool after a few bongs.

micheal bay would be an ideal candidate! he does like wham bam thank you mam films. he let himself down with dark of the moon it wasnt the same without megan fox! chris nolan (new batman franchise) would be a good director for it give it a moody edge.

I honestly didn't think they could find anyone worse than Megan Fox...and they did. It was really quite an achievement.

Running with this I would like to see a film that has a young boy dropped into a Retro gaming console world and has to complete various levels of different classic 80's games to return.

Probably seems quite childish, but it would be pretty cool and I am a child at heart!

Pretty wierd actually as I was thinking the other day that they should remake the Original Star Wars Trilogy ( A new hope through to ROTJ) but set in England with current street trends and set up.

If they got the correct writers, producers and actors I think it would be pretty cool!

Yet another quality tread subject!

I think a re making of the tong in cheek space 1999 would be pretty cool as all though the reality of the old show was pretty week, the concept was bloody great, & a re made fantasy island series would be neat, used to bloody love that show & while on the subject of weekly shows, does anyone else remember the logan's Run series??, used to love that one 2, must be like the only show in living history that has not had a re run :? & dare I say it??, another Star Trek series.

As for films I would love to see them have a go at Red Dwarf film 8) & boy do we need more "Dark" sci-fi & I would love to see a AVP film that does not suck ball's

The 80's one is a cult classic, but I'd love to see a more high budget version.
