If it helps make some sense, the image of R2 is one hidden in the movie (Indiana Jones) on an egyptian column. I saw it in a thread of "Star Wars hidden in other films". So this guy is going on that angle. Very tenuous and i can't imagine who's bidding but that's the reasoning anyway.

There's also a model of the Millenium Falcon in the Blade Runner city skyline and an R2D2 on the ship decor in Close Encounters.
