In light of what happened in Japan last year, what do you think of this:

Do you think its worth the risk?

Don't these things still burn lots of fossil fuel?

Don't these things still produce toxic waste?

If a Fukushima nuclear disaster in Japan happened on this small island- how much of south east england and wales would have to be evacuated and for how long?

Not looking to get into an argument. But I am interested in how people feel about this project.

Thanks.

I think the rebels are forcing them to do it.

I think they need to forget it & go back to the drawing board - fission! = no waste & 100% energy, about bloody time we got there.

I personally reckon nuclear will likely become increasingly common. There are few other options currently with power needs and rapidly reducing fossil fuels/increased pollution. Family all live in Caithness where thry had a plant snd they are desperate for another. Good jobs in poor area. Renewable currently well behind in evrn thinking about meeting energy needs.

Small world, I'm from Caithness as well.
