What Are Your Top 5 Cardback Pictures?

Ok, just to show i DO actually LIKE stuff as well... [god i hate Anakin...]

What are your top 5 favourite cardback pictures?
We're not talking about the figures nor are we talking about the cardbacks or picture cardback combinations ie; DSD on trilogo etc. This is just about the picture.

My top 5 are:

1. Luke Jedi
(always loved this pic. There's a lot going on as well as 2 other recognisable characters in the background plus Luke looks cool as ****).

2. Luke Hoth
(Luke again, i do actually think he has a few of the best cardbacks, but his variation is one of my favourites. I love all the Hoth picture cardbacks but this is the best of the bunch.)

3. R5-D4
(You may find this choice surprising. It's a cardback that often gets overlooked but personally i think it's the perfect card back pic. It has an actual image form the film, there's lots going on, and the figure is pictured looking exactly as he/it should do. This should have been the template for all following cardback pics. Sadly, it wasn't!)

4. Yoda
(I just love Yoda and this pic is perfectly evocative of Yoda and the atmosphere so perfectly captured in Empire Strikes Back)

5. Lando General
(this was dificult and i could have put Leia Organa or the 1st R2 pic here. Also considered Amanaman but i knew i would be picking that because the figure/character looks so cool. I just like the colours in this one and the background has always intrigued me. Who's the other guy??)

So there you have it. My top 5.

Nice one Pete. My top 5 would be:

1. Original R2
2. Original Obi-Wan (where it looks like he has a yellow lightsaber)
3. R5-D4 - love the fact that R2 just creeps in!
4. Vader (pointing - looks just like he should)
5. Yoda

If it was about least favourite I'd have to go for either Dengar or the Cloud Car Pilot (although I love the figure)

I would agree with Pete, I also think the images from the films look the best on the cards, with that in mind my Top 5 card backs would be......
No. 1 Luke Farmboy Gunner Card

No 2 ESB Yoda Card No. 3 Tuskan Raider SW card

No. 4 ESB Han Hoth and lastly No. 5 ROTJ Biker Scout

I've never taken much notice of R5D4 picture before but it's definately up there with the better ones.

Pete, That 'Other guy' in the background of the Lando General card looks like an A- Wing pilot I think.....but I'm sure you knew that, or did you actually mean, 'who is that actual guy'.........if that's the case, I think his name was Paul from Manchester.......

That would be me... :wink: as pete was saying it was about the card photo not the figure. The photo always reminds me of the part of the film where the raider appears right in front of luke's binoculars..... They scared the life out of me as a kid...But to be honest, I think the Tuskan Raider was a cool figure anyway.......

Fair do's Jeffster! There are some cardpics which I just don't like the look of, this being one of them... but you are right... that bit in the film is great!

1: Rebel Soldier ( I have always loved this picture and every thing that has to do with the Hoth battle )

2: AT-AT Commander . I love Hoth and AT AT's

3: Leia Organa / Leia Bespin Love both of the cards so can't choose

4: Danger . Theres just something about the collors on this card and the picture that match up so nice .

5: Luke X-Wing reminds me of my childhood , i loved that figure and card .
