So I bought one of the Jakks pacific Sandtroopers this week for the huge amount of £15 shipped and I thought that it was too clean and decided to do a custom paintjob. It was only when I was doing this that got me thinking about how it would have been had we had these in 3 3/4 and 12" back in the day. I know I would have had one! Seriously, the toys being produced nowadays are actually amazing for the money. I actually think there is a small possibility that all these larger figures could wipe out sales of the smaller versions, due to the cost. When you buy one carded figure for £10 plus or one of these for £15 then I think most would go for the larger figures. Obviously you have the fact that the smaller figures can be used with ships etc, but could these larger ones actually affect the sales of 3 3/4 ??

Anyways, hope you like the paint. It was a 1 hour jobbie out of boredom :D

Nice job there mate, really looks better with a bit of weathering, they are great figures for the money, especially considering the size and cost of the smaller figures.
Not sure they'll replace the smaller line makes them to much money I would have thought

Looks superb, much better than the standard version, however it has absolutely no appeal to me at all, I'm vintage all the way and I can't see that changing.

Looks great 8) Yes, they're great value, but can't see them ever challenging the 3.75" figures- playability and storage are the two main reasons.
