Wasn’t invited to the premiere so watching the Holiday Special instead...

Once again my name seems to have been missed off the guest list for the Star Wars premiere... that means as of six o'clock tonight I am implementing a full media/ social media black out. However to keep the Star Wars magic alive I'm treating myself to a viewing of the Holiday special. Star Wars and Christmas combined, what could possibly go wrong?

Well, for example this: a stupid Wookiee child (I think Chewbacca is the father), a terrible singing Princess Leia and a gay Luke... :wink: :lol:

About half way through. I forgot how bad it is... hope they're all having fun at the premiere.

Personally I glad I wasn't on the list the film will properly suck like TFA.

Amazing to think Steve Binder was responsible for making the Holiday Special and the Elvis 68 Comeback Special- one of the best shows ever made and one of the worst!

I do marvel at the idea of American TV 'Specials' . Firstly that there's a term for when a one-off programme is shown that isn't the same programme at the exact same time every day for years.

And, yeah, the quality ranging from an entertainment spectacular like Elvis to crap variety dross like the Star Wars one.

I know America has produced some of the greatest tv shows but I've thought that its variety shows were even worse than ours.

I'm sure an American could watch an episode of 321 from 1978 and blow my ideas right out the water, mind.
