Unknown seller is listing lots of fake MOCs on a domestic sales forum here in Norway.
Started with listing a stormtrooper but has since listed several other equally fake items including a VC jawa (asking price approx £1300). See link at top.
The text is in Norwegian. Scroll down and click the "flere annonser" link and you'll get to the rest of his listings.

A little scam in progress, methinks. As far as I know he is not active on any of the forums so this will probably have little direct impact on the community, but every new fake produced is ultimately detrimental to the hobby. Wanker.

Cheers,
Martin

You can see the tape that's been used to stick the bubble to the card. Definitely not the real deal although if it's listed as a real trooper that might be right but the cards not real.

Fake as they come..and look at the dirt on those remotes :lol: :shock:

Is that a WWF Silver Vision Tagged Classic dvd in the background? I have a bunch of them. ;) Tho i don't think i have the one you have which leads me to believe it may be a 90s era one.

Hehe, just downloaded the pics from the ad so no dvds, fake MOCs or dirty remotes belong to me ;)

The bubble for sure............fake. Who is selling this?

Martin, Todd just asked above what I was thinking when I was reading and looking at the photos? Who is this fabulous seller of this $150 beauty :roll: ?

He's nobody I know, just a random seller on a domestic forum (l am in Norway) who's previously listed some vintage beaters at silly prices (think £35 for a loose weaponless Royal Guard), and I have had no luck in eliciting any response from him. Then the trooper pops up. He is also listing other similar items it seems, here's a link to his very recent Chewbacca listing:

Thanks for the input, is there a comprehensive thread or guide to spotting fakes from the different ranges? M

Martin thanks for the heads up about this guy. It did throw me off when I saw that you had edited your initial post :shock: I believe originally you were inquiring about whether it was real or not? Well anyway, you were asking about some kind guide. I'm wet behind the ears being a member of swfuk so I have not went through many possible old threads that there are here that answers that question :| BUT I have an idea to help you with your question, read below;

1) Do you have a Facebook account?
2) If you do then are you a member of this group? https://www.facebook.com/groups/234166273438102/

If your answers are YES to both 1 and 2 above then you can easily follow this link https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=oa.252518384936224&type=1 to a file that has some photos that will assist you, once your logged in of course. I would copy the pictures but I do not take other peoples photos without asking. Letting you know where to find them is faster then asking and then awaiting a reply from the photo maker. :D
