Thank you for all the words of encouragement guys, been a bit of a strange experience for me in all honesty as I simply do not get the mentality, I got offered an extra £20 on that Meccano leia I was selling a while back, but did I sell if for the extra £20?, no it went to the first guy to put his name down as that's the way I do business & should the offer have been an extra £120 instead of £20 it would still have been the same, its just ethically incorrect to welsh on a deal done IMO & E & only dissolves the community.

I have contacted one of the admin team on TIG about this but not heard a thing back as yet, but don't even know if the guy (the admin that is) has even been back on line since, so I await his reply b4 I go putting anything down on the board there about the seller, also - have I got it right contacting admin? or should I be speaking to a moderator? as I am not 100% sure on who does what within the site.
Badderius - I would not think any less of you for going ahead with the deal buddy, but I would be careful when dealing with this member as he has (to me at least) shown his true colours, he also kept trying to sell me the Miss cared figure that I sent the other member to him about, which should have made my alarm bell ring, as I know that the other member was still interested in it.
I may well have given him a few pounds extra if he had said he thinks the offer was not high enough as we all like to get a deal & I offered what I would like to get the item for not the highest price I have ever seen one go for as I think we all would have done, it was his decision to take that offer & not ask for more, so to then sell to a higher offer after agreeing a deal & taking the cash without offering another higher price offer to me seems rather nonsensical to me as this sort of behaviour could ruin a members reputation on a forum.
I am not usually one to split hairs, but felt that I must make others aware of this sort of unethical practice being used within the hobby.

I didn't like that guy from the get go to be honest Frank, he has a load of dodgy figures in his collection that he believes are amazing variants and doesn't listen to anyone's advice on them, got into a bit of a barny with him about discolouration as well and he was pretty aggressive with his comments then and again on a separate occasion when he wanted to buy a Tri Fett from me.

Thanks Joe, nice to hear that I am not the only one that considered him suspect but sorry you have had poor experiences with him to m8.
I am lucky that I do already have a CCP baggie, but I have a CCP side focus & just wanted to keep adding to it, so not all that bad TBH & its only a figure & nothing to get overly disheartened about as I am sure others will pass my way in good time.
I have not heard back from the team at TIG as yet & not sure if they just read his posts & took action, but check it out -

Well after reading all of the replys today I am doing what I have never done before and backing out on this deal due to principles. My Tag on TIG is Garry-Star Wars so if you see my name getting bad feedback from Huthunter then least you know why.
I hate shady dealers with a passion, fecks the community spirit up........
Staying here for my deals in the future, and those I know and have dealt with before on RS ect.

There will be issues with deals on every forum regardless of its members, it was only the other month that Edd was complaining about members on HERE putting items on hold then dropping communication and leaving him hanging on his stuff for sale. Yeh good point Joe, I know a good few of the peeps over at TIG and they are a great bunch. As you said I will choose well in the future and if I have any doubts will fire a few pms over to some peeps to get their views.
However I must admit between RS, TIG, SWF and Ebay each and every transaction so far has been good. Fingers crossed that continues

TIG is a nice enough place & has some really nice & knowledgeable members, I won't let the one bad experience spoil it for me & you should not either Badderius, but I to think you have made the right decision regarding your transaction with him as I am sure I will not be the only one that he tries to burn.
Had the mods get back to me saying action has been taken which has really impressed me, its so nice to know this sort of behaviour is not acceptable within the hobby & the forums, after all we have ebay for that :lol:

Joe is right to be fair. You will run into problems of this nature on ALL forums. From what i've heard recently, regular members here have been asking for things to be put on hold and then backing out. Edd had an issue with it a while back. So no site is perfect. All i would say is- 2 rules to remember are:
1) Be very wary of newbies and if unsure DON'T DEAL WITH THEM and
2) NEVER deal with a member called Wolffie. He is a known, serial, scam artist and beloved member on TIG.
Remember those two things and you'll be ok... for the most part.

AHA. THEN what about business ETHICS on TIG from the Buyer side?? IT IS at least as UNETHICAL, as to accept any higher price, or anything else. Is that your problem? WE also made a DEAL here. You made a commitment to buy this figure!
