Hi guys

Just wanted to warn you guys about a member on TIG I have just had a bed experience with, the deal went like this.

I pointed someone in his direction for a carded figure he was selling.

He told me he would be selling some baggies soon & would offer them to me.

He then sends photos & tells me he is short on funds if we do a deal can I make payment asap.

I make him an offer on one of them which he accepts.

I instantly send funds over.

He then says he has a better offer.

I point out that we have already both agreed a deal & that payment is already in his account as agreed.

He agrees & said he will honour the deal.

24hrs later a pm saying he has changed his mind & is sending me a refund as the other offer is much better & money talks.

I now have had my refund.

Is this any kind of way to deal with sales or am I just missing something :?

The member in question is Hutthunter

I would recommend caution if planning on dealing with him.

A shame when something like this happens within the hobby with another collector as it leaves a sour taste.

The guy did not even ask if I wanted to match the other offer.

This is the first time I have heard of this. Yes taking offers & going back on deals is not acceptable. The example Josh shows is not the only one, more recently some cheap revenge proofs were sold via PM with higher offers than were listed publically. In future perhaps contact a mod to help

Sorry to hear that Frank and thank Josh for posting that link to the thread on RS. Personally I think the guy knew what he was doing as I find it hard to believe that he never checked his mail in those 6 days running up to the refund as Ebay would CLEARLY send him a notification email stating his item was sold. Bit fishy!

lol, no not at all dude. No confusion as noted it was from last year, just thought I'd say a piece! ;)

But yeah, Frank have you brought this up with TIG?

Exactly James, maybe someone should tell him that and while he's at it get off his high horse!

Just to be clear that is an OLD thread Hamster that I posted a link for. It was just to show, Frank, that this thing is frowned upon...especially by the TIG team. So he should really let THEM know about his current situation. Not just us here at SWFUKUP.

Carry on and sorry for any confusion I may have caused.

* Truth is...I want to know who this is being talked about by Kaze.

http://www.imperialgunneryforum.com/t3516-my-boba-fett-on-cloud-city-painting-for-sale-is-sold

Read the 2nd last post from the bottom.  What's that all about?????

WTF... I don't go on that site so have no idea who that Kaze guy is or what he's going on about. Very strange tho. The painter guy is on SWCC and has displayed and sold some of his art there. Some of it's really cool and he seems like a stand up guy. Obviously no copywrite issue (was Kaze serious in that suggestion... mental!).

Anyhoo, moving on... Sorry you've been ****ed around Frank tho i will say it's more likely to happen on TIG than here. Not as much member scrutiny or fussiness there i'm afraid.

Ok peeps I need some advice, I have been following this guys sales for a bit and before I read what he had done to Frank about the CCP baggie I said i would purchase one of his figures.

Now.......I hate dealing with people who "screw" others over, totally hate it. Since this has come to light I am now considering withdrawing my bid (Have not paid him yet), but then here is the twist....I dont want to get a bad name myself lol for pulling out of a sale, especially here on SWF.

So do I go ahead with the deal and then never buy anything from him again, or do I stick to my principles and not deal with someone who has "screwed" another member over.....

Looking forward to the replys.

Cheers!

Garry

I hope he wore protection Frank.

OT. Not a nice thing to do at all. As has been said you should contact the mods on that site about this.
