vinyl capes question

Is the zip cross hatch side supposed to be on the inside of the figure and smooth side on the outside. Im assuming so

Yeah although obviously these can be reversed with play.

I also wonder if some of these capes were put on with different sides facing at the factory. The people putting them on the figures must have received them flat and it's more than likely to me that some could have been flipped. Normally with these capes you can tell which way it's been put on by the way the vinyl sits around the arms. As the armholes are so tight on the VCJ it's normally pushing out away from the shoulder and not inwards (as this I'm guessing would mean it's been put on the other way). It's hard to know for sure though as if a child did reverse it early on it may well change the arm holes.

with my VCJ cape a put it in near boiling water and it flattened it out new. I'll have to check if I ended up putting it back on the most common way though.

Am sure I have seen carded examples with the textured side on the outside and inside.

I wouldn't like to say as looking at the ones listed on ebay they seem to differ with maybe the smooth side on the outside (although it's hard to tell). Maybe someone who has a MOC could let us know?

concerning the cape il ask some of the rs boys. its intriguing sounds like they were put on either way round depends on the factory worker i guess :lol:

they can be on both sides, I don't think they have thought about that when they put it on the figures on the factory. So some make the zip sound on the outside and other on the inside :wink:

Concerning the cape question in conclusion from here rs and other forums vinyl capes on lando leia ben jawa......etc have been found either way round from there original state.
