Vinyl Cape worth the risk?

I just hope she is genuine (they must have female jawas how would they make jaybies!)
same colour as jawa cape, big eyes the only thing was the striping on one side of the cape? Looks like the seller picked them up with some more first 12 in the same condition that are also listed on ebay.The sellers aftersales looks good and it does say all the items are authentic. Will find out when I get it in the post. Love the forum and all the pics of vintage toys you can only dream of having.

It actually looks quite good, i saw this myself and asked for more pictures, i didnt get a response until after it had sold.

The armholes dont look right to me, but saying that it could just be a well played with cape, the colour and distance from the feet looks good though.

I'm no expert on VCJawa's, no expert on SW in general but anyway, it doesn't look right to me.
I've seen enough pictures of real and fake VCJawa's over the years to be worried by that one.
I hope, for your sake, it is genuine!

Actually that looks good from what i can see on those crappy pictures.

Good colour and good length, and even the distance between the armholes seen from the back looks good.
the cape may look big (wide), but i think it's because it's not over the figures shoulders and hanging wide open.
(It may be possible that there are some slits in the armholes, and that's the reason why it's hanging off and the armholes look out off shape)

Offcourse, a couple off better pictures are required to tell for sure, but i think you could have hit a bargian here.

Also check that the Jawa has the correct COO to be a VC Jawa :wink:

I debated for about an hour to buy it, but he wanted immediate payment which was a flag to me.

Also, if he didnt know about VC jawa'a why charge £70 for a loose jawa?

If he had researched them he would have known to go at £300 ish

Just a couple of issues i thought about, but it does look ok, even the cross hatch flashback on the inner of the cape is there (or looks like it is)

But it could be real and have shite ripped armholes and be worth what it is, it could also be a genuine bargain and ill kick myself for not buying it.

OP please post back on here when you get it with more pics and/or a conclusion.

Thanks for all your posts, seems a 50/50 split I will post some pics when it arrives. I was offered one about ten years ago for £80 and have been sick ever since that I didn't get it. It would be nice if it is real but i'm not holding my breath. I never have really had any great buys as I started collecting in 1995 and paid top dollar for my loose figures from toy fairs.

Hi all this is the jawa

I believe the cape to be original it has the cross hatch and makes the zip sound. The jawa is not original as it has no coo maybee it was swapped because the original one was in poor condition . I have a couple of jawas with the Hong Kong coo on that I can change it for, just need an original blaster now. Very happy.

Hey livewire, just seen saw the listing on ebay and was told you got it. To me it looked legit straight away and pretty gutted I missed out on this one but big congrats dude on a great find! Will look good with the right minty Jawa.
