I just thought id let you in on a collectors/dealer conversation i had yesterday (on the search for a blue snaggletooth)

Quite interesting chat - first thing he said sales in shop had go through the roof in the last 12 months and to pick any figures up in a car-boot / jumble sale are increasingly rare as people know there worth. He also said the japanese coming into the market has raised values and made finding mint figures hard online...

He had a dealer who used to work for palitoy who was one of his main guys - the guy from palitoy was given thousands of new card backs when the factory closed and has been resealing them with loose figures bought from ebay and selling as MOC for over 10 years at comic cons, ebay etc making thousands. My man is in the process of suing him.

Apologies if this is common knowledge - but thought it was quite interesting.

Very interesting, would be great to know more details if you have any.

Ah yes I know all about what happened, I meant about the trader you're referring to and what exactly he's suing for. If he's having any success it could really help a lot of people on here that also got conned.

When I go back into the shop ill ask him - judging from him i suspect a pinch of salt is required with all he saying, however you never know.

I am one of the people that got conned , I wonder how many toy toni owners there are on here!

His partner who has a huge collection, which has 11 yak faces apparently...(just because..)
Got conned with quite a lot I gather. But this is politically incorrect so I apologies - his partner is what he considers" special " would go down the legal route as didn't want the stress.
