As nobody seems to have their own ideas these days, I am sure they borrow tons from the past.

As time goes on it got to be harder to come up with original, new ideas. Kinda the same with music, so many covers and samples now because artist's
can't come up with anything new.

Agreed. Watched Total Recall on Saturday and it's great. Aged well. The remake is just a board meeting that worked out a formula that equalled a profit. Hollywood is ****ing well dead.
