Hi everyone new to forum always liked Star Wars I have a few question hopefully people can help, well I'm not really sure what to do as I have quite a large set of vintage figures and vehicles all used some still have boxes, they have been in my parents loft since I can remember and they are moving house so they have asked me to take them away, I have them all now at my house and I'm not sure what to do with them? Sell them? Keep them, or wait until new film comes out then sell them?

Million dollar question - and I imagine how a lot of people got into the hobby

Parting with your childhood collection is no fun - however if the funds can go to something worthwhile then that softens the blow

Not sure on your circumstances but if I were you I wouldn't sell unless you have to - you will never get them back! However, if you do need some cash then now is a good time to sell and I am sure that there are people on here (me included) that will be happy to make you an offer for the lot (or you could sell individually). People have suggested that demand will go up when the new films come out - so the idea on holding on to them til then isn't daft either

At the end of the day, the choice is yours :D

Hi mate, great advice there from Iain

If you havnt already, introduce yourself on the thread

http://www.starwarsforum.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=3797

Then put some pics up of your collection, you will get sound advice on what you have, and as Iain says, only you can decide

Good luck :D

Thanks for the advise guys will put some pictures up later not sure what I have and what it worth would be a big help if i could have some advise on what I got and if it's worth anything

I advise you to stick up a photo of what you have in the valuations section, otherwise you're going to be bombarded with private messages from people hoping to pick up a bargain. If you have no idea what any of it is worth don't agree to anything until you've had some impartial valuations.

Hi,

I have just registered as I have a 100% bonafide vinyl cape jawa I want to sell. I checked in at the UKG graders but got a tad confused with the grading procedure.
I have my original collection in tins well looked after, I will never part with them. They hold too many memories, now at 42 I do feel able to let go of the Jawa. The figure is totally genuine as is the card, unfortunately I did open the bubble which is still attached to the card, the bubble is brittle and slightly yellowed but otherwise its a great figure.

Can anyone advise me on how to get it valued?

I used to be a huge collector but moved on to other interests, Used to own a Bob fett costume made by Bobamaker along with a Snowtrooper and sandtrooper costume, great days trooping up and down the country but alas only photos to remember great days…99th Imperial garrison.

Justin

Hi…two PM.s since my post was approved. Having difficulty posting pics, been an age since I was on forums.
I am happy to trade emails with anyone interested, I took some pictures on my Iphone tonight.

The jawa is Kenner and has been punched, it has foreign sticker on the reverse of the card, and the bubble is cracked and has a part partially missing as figure was removed back in the late 70's.

I only dug this out of the loft when the first prequel was made and there was a huge amount of media coverage of merchandise etc, just apathy and lack of ideas kept me fro advertising it, I asked a dealer back in the mid 90's who was slightly interested but never went further.

If anyone wants pictures I can take as many as possible and email them as posting photos is not my forte on forums.

Thanks Justin

Ps I have a good mix of the old MR sabres at my parents old house, some with boxes and all with stands, gathering dust….would be happy for those to find new homes if anyone fancies.
