That is just ****ing awful. I can't imagine that feeling.
It's a major reason why I have only ever once showed my entire collection in pics, and that was years ago. Also why I don't like showing it in person to people. In my case, the whole collection is in a climate controlled basement room, with a window too small for anyone but a child to fit through (blacked out anyway for privacy and to block UV light), a door that is locked with the key hidden elsewhere in the house (not even the wife and kids know where that key is), and an alarm system on the house. IF someone broke in, the police would be on their way by the time someone could break into the room, never mind remove anything. I'm more scared of fire/water damage than theft, personally.
In any event, glad to hear the guy is getting most of it back.
Just an observation though, how is a sealed ROTJ Falcon worth a couple of thousand dollars? Makes me wonder if his collection value estimate is accurate or not. If it was all in a walk in closet as it appears in the video, I don't know how it approaches $45,000. Not really important, and no intentions on minimizing his ordeal, just a thought that crossed my mind when I watched the video.
