Vectis SW Auction 08.12.15

I didn't get to watch this because of work but i sure as hell kept bugging Stu and Pete to keep me updated etc.
Nothing for me i'm afraid. In fact no i'm not sad about that. There was nothing that sold which i thought, dam, i wish i had bought that at that price.
Yes i'm sure there were some good prices, but the cost of some of these has just gone crazy.
Vectors are really pulling in the great finds and it's awesome the relationship we have with them. However, Vectis do need to have a rethink of some elements of their website though.
I took my MacBook Pro and portable wifi with me to work to have a cheeky look/bid (whilst pretending to do some work) but the Vectis site doesn't even support Safari, i didn't realise this until i tried to watch. I don't want to download Firefox or other non apple items etc. It does seem a bit silly. Maybe with all of the commission from this auction they can fix that.

I noticed that, but watched it and bidded successfully on my iPhone trough safari.
Refreshed the page when I got the 'your browser is not supported' message

There were definitely some great buys today in amongst the shockers. I felt that some of Gary's (Herosolo) graded Trilogos went for a lot less than they probably would have on ebay or even on here..but then the CCP, Hammerhead, Yak and that very surprising Amanaman more than made up for them  :

Yes, yes they did and if someone woke up in the middle of the night and put in some prices that he was sure to be beat but didn't then he might have filled in some of the gaps in his collection with some rather nice (if graded) Trilogos

Sounds like that sucks, mate. What did you miss?

It's more a case of what I hit really - going to have to sell a kidney I think

Rather that way around than the other :) You have two kidneys, after all.

True - although don't think either would grade uch past 50 - even if I got them Ugraded !

I won one of my 3 bids. Was interested in the Palitoy 12 Back Sand People and the Palitoy 20 Back Walrusman. Was hoping to pick up one of those for a 'cheeky' price but no joy. I did get the graded Trilogo Leia Poncho with a Meccano bubble. Haven't seen one for a while so was happy to pay for a graded one.

I'm still not entirely sure what I won!!

I do know I got zero work done

Haha, I have no idea what I've won until later in the day when I wake up to check "lots won". Half of me is hoping it's nothing so I'm not skint again. Won 2, ah crap :D

It seems as though I also won: Lando Skiff ROTJ moc, loose falcon and at-at (which are probably missing loads of bits) and a loose incomplete 12" Fett which I only bought from the Wookie braids!!

Whaaaaaaaaaat!! :D

To be fair the Fett is in a load better condition than mine as well so it's an upgrade of sorts.

Also just got an email, I guess a high bidder must have pulled out as I'm sure I hadn't won anything yesterday. Is anybody collecting stuff there over the next couple of days and able to post it to me for a beer token?

I won a few items yesterday. I had a email this morning confirming payment so I rang them to ask about P&P and I was informed that they invoice separately for P&P so no need to collect.

Its more if you want the stuff within the next couple of weeks.

Are they very slow to send items out then?? I'm based in Cardiff so collecting my items would be difficult.

Depending on their workload it can vary anywhere between 4-6 weeks. They will take them to collector's fairs where they have stand. Barry Potter Fairs they do so may be worth checking those and then ring them to ask to arrange pick up from one of them.
