Vectis Star Wars Auction 20/10/15

Landed the Palitoy 45a Imperial Commander. I'm really pleased with the price, well below my maximum bid.

Well done. I bid for both the Palitoy Imp Comms, but stuck to price I was happy with. Glad I didn't have higher bids which would have cost you more.

Well I brought a long list and I ended up just winning 1 lot of amazing clean unplayed with figures lost on all the other loose lots great day for carded figures bargain hunter but all the reseal sold for way more then I imagined especially that lot of 12 with the vc jawa !

I know they were reseals but someone got a good deal for the first 12 Palitoy inc Vinyl Jawa for £2,700!

I have to agree there, timing wrong for me on this lot but love the documentation and story that went with it.
A great addition to someone's collection.

Another one in the totally forgot camp  oh well funds saved, glad a few of you snagged a bargain this time round :) that Han miss card is a top draw item Laurence.

Thanks Frank, though it was going to do a bit more to be fair so reasonably happy, missed on a few bits and won a few but have a few cases I wouldn't mind owning for sentiment and research purposes.

Was very interested in that lot of Palitoy re-seals that was a competition win - anyone here get it?

Must admit I forgot about the auction - there were a couple more items I was keen on. Anyone get the carded diecast Snowspeeder?

I was the under bidder so almost won it :(

I was only really after the VCJ card back so if anyone on here does have it and are splitting them up do let me know ( would be a shame if they were picked up to sell on though).

Sad for you mate, would have loved that lot to have gone to a good home and stay together, like you say, to split it up would be a shame.

I think it went for a bargain price when you add up what was there - the real interest for me though was the letters and other documentation that went with it - a great little piece of history.

They'd look fantastic in cases too, and you'd spend a whole lot more on mint examples so in all - this was a brilliant lot.

Cheers for that although I feel that things tend to go their way for a certain reason so no real problem from my end. I did have a close look at all of them with the pictures that were sent to me from Kathy and I must admit that the bubbles weren't in the best shape as nearly all of them had some crushing to them. The VCJ was the main star for me and the actual figure looked to be super mint. If this lot was picked up by a collector then I'm sure they'll be very happy but I just didn't want to go any higher as it was already at over 3k once you add the fees to this lot.

Great slice of history though and maybe I'll get the chance at a VCJ card back one day.

I thought I was outbid, but it looks like I got a 12bk Palitoy C3PO for £400 (plus fees), which seems like a fair price in today's market.
