Vectis flipper alert! Boba Fett 41back Palitoy

Always good to know that people are depriving actual collectors of items at auction for no reason other than to flip 2 weeks later... :-(

Hope he gets royally burned !! :-)

I think 4k was the price that included fees. I also think it's a strange item to try to flip, as it had so much attaention and went quite high. I agree, I can't see this sell at this asking price. Who kows, Vectis might have many more of them in the next auctions. :-)

With the exposure that Vectis now get then I think it would be very hard to instantly turn a profit on something purchased from there. As has been said - people only see the final sales price - say 4000GBP then don't see the fees as well - so that sets the market price

When you also factor in the eBay and PayPal fees then profit on something like this gets very small - and then there is always the danger of the postage system turning it into a very expensive mint cardback and bubble

Not a risk I would take

Around 3K is a fair market price for that 41 Fett so I was happy that the £3200 hammer price was more or less spot on :!:
The price this clown is asking is almost getting into 30 back territory :!:

Good spot Andy, in my opinion he'll be holding onto that for a long time if he's looking to make a profit, especially if there is another example coming up.
Be good if everyone offered him £4k for a laugh, saying that's what you paid for it.....

I see the reflection is the acrylic. There are just bottomless black holes where his eyes should be.

So clearly his wife did find out then!! :D

It's a shocking mark up, but then not a surprise that someone would try and do that.

Perhaps they read a post on here that said the Vectis one would reach 8k!

Crap, well then this is all my fault then

The guy is almost certainly reading this forum then and will see this post. Clearly has no intention of being part of the community other than to use it as a resource to make money. At the end it will be a fool that will pay that. A shame because he looks like he's a Fett collector so why let such a great piece go? Oh yeah, making £4k.

There's a couple who have commented that another one is in the next Vectis sale.

How do you know?, have they released a catalogue yet?, If so where, because I can't find it :o
