So there have been a lot of VC Jawa shenanigans, it would seem, and a lot of the ones popping up are mere reproductions or simple fakes.

So I understand the background of the VC Jawa, but as a new collector, what I really wanted to know was what the differences are between a fake and a genuine one. I think I may try and get one loose at some point, if they're cheap (which I doubt they will be), and so I wanna know when it is a fake.

Thanks guys, it's appreciated! :D

With loose ones selling for around £350.....It might be worth buying a AFA/UKG graded one which you can get for around £450 for an 85, that way you know you're getting the real deal.

The main things to look out for:

Cape colour = almost same as figure

Cape Length = should sit about 6mm up from the floor on the figure

Cape = is generally a snug fit, especially around the shoulders

Armholes = should be water tight like a ducks arse, unless played with (not the ducks arse)

Cross hatch pattern = should be on one side of the cape, hard to get in a photo but it will have this.

Figure = make sure the figure doesnt have the small eyes, VC never came with that variation (although that doesnt mean the cape is fake)
