Hi all,

I last year sold a lot of my carded collection to put together a minty loose set, as I simply didn't have space to display all of the cards. I have invested in a cabinet and really enjoyed having a loose set now on display.I have been busy on this for some time, and pretty much there.

I now want to add a VC jawa to my collection to finish it off.

I haven't kept tabs on current market value of these for some time, and i'm struggling to find many recent closed ebay auctions to get an idea of costs etc.

There was one sold recently on here for around £250 ungraded, however, I feel more inclined to buy one graded. Am i being over optimistic with a £400 budget for an AFA 85 example?

Hope you can help

Hi, For an AFA 85 the going rate is around £450-£500

Tigerham has a UKG 85 for sale at the moment.

I think that's a very fair price for a graded VC Jawa. I'd always go graded as it's one of the most commonly faked figures out there.

Would you back the credentials of the UKG's in greading such items? Just never had anything from them before, or don't know a great deal about them.

I certainly would.

It really isn't that hard to tell a real VCJ from a fake one once you have it in hand you know.

One figure I've never owned, so never had chance to compare em.

UKG'S looks like the cheaper option, will take a look at their site.

Yes. As much as AFA.

Forget graded markups. Just get some good pics of the one you want and post them on the boards and you'll get it authenticated for free. Good luck. The VCJ is a nice one to add to the collection :D

Cheers gents, I've done a deal with Tigerham for the one on here. No i'm bankrupt and without a home.lol

Cheers guys.
