VC Jawa going cheap...yeah right :)

The carded vc jawa is a hard figure to beat. If I had to sell my collection, it would the one piece i would hold onto. Always been my favourite.........its a piece of art!

There is a carded AFA 60 toltoys jawa on ESB card currently being offered for sale in Australia. $15000 if you want it. 8) I was offered it in February but declined.......

It would be nice to have it in your collection even at a 60 grade.

I was tempted to get my LL jawa AFA graded and see what that would be worth.

I can see it selling as a U 90 is going to be highly sought after, i just wouldn't part with that much cash myself for a VC jawa thats not moc :?

I still think its crazy tho (no offence meant). Was the card an absolute beater?
I couldn't bring myself to do it lol

Hi Del,

I actually bought it already graded and never saw the card. I do know the card and bubble sold separately for $150 though (someone wanting the rare original bubble).

Did this sell then jim?
Just being nosey as a friend of mine in canada collect U's and asked me if it sold.

If so congrats :)

Hi Del,

Yes the jawa is away to pastures new.......There was alot of interest in it.

Jim

Very impressed with your sale!

I to though the price was crazy especially when you can get an AFA VC Jawa Moc for that price or not much more.

I got to say since AFA set up the U grade i think its had a terrible effect on the hobby. Ton's and ton's have carded figures have already left circulation :(

well..bloody..done!!! :) i stand corrected, i just cant believe how people think about this when they buy them!!

buy beaters and get U grading i say :)

My new loose collection focus isn't as easy as i thought  Looking for loose C9+ on ebay is more time consuming than collecting moc lol.

Im tempted to buy beaters and take the figures off the cards which is always something i was dead against.

Do UKG do U grades?

It seems more and more dealers are snapping up beater moc's to get the loose U85 / U90 grades as that seems to be the best way to have a clear profit margin at the end.
