Hi,

I have a VC Jawa but no blaster, had it for a few years. I'm now looking to pair it up with the "correct" blaster, i.e. the blaster variant it would have originally shipped with.

This is advertised on ebay:

However, it's black, according to The Imperial Gunnery, all apart from Glasslite should be blue, I think!

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks, Peter.

It is likely okay. Most of the original dark blue/black weapons appear very black, especially if photographed on a piece of paper like this. You typically can only see the blue if you hold it up to a bright light, and even then often only at the thinnest parts of the plastic where the light is able to shine through.

Hope that helps.

Ian

Thanks Ian. So there's a likelihood that type of blaster would have been sold with a VC Jawa in 1977?

Thanks, Peter.

To be fair, there is no 'correct type' as they have been pictured with both the bump and no bump - and AFA now grade them with both (they used to only grade with the non bump)

Like itfcain said any blaster goes as far as AFA is concerned but the V2 - Solid Dark Blue no Raised Bump from your link is the most iconic and its V1 bumped counterpart is a good second. As far as value for money goes you are usually better off buying a complete cloth cape jawa and selling on the jawa and cloak then bidding on a loose blaster

What a good idea, thanks :D
