UV window film for collection rooms

I want to get some UV film for my windows, obviously I'll keep my collection out of direct sunlight but it still gets very bright in there on a sunny day, so can't hurt. Can anyone recommend a supplier, or even some kind of certification? For example I found this, but how do I know it's not just cling film, it's not like I can ask for a refund in 10 years when everything is sun faded!

Our neighbour who doesn`t like traditional blinds of any description, has something on their new windows like a very dark car tint. I think it is a blind, as occasionally they do open them. They could be solar blinds. When the sun is strong they are like reactor lights

I use https://www.evowrap.co.uk/. Because I want both heat and UV protection, I opted for their 'Coolclear Solar Deluxe Window Film' (https://www.evowrap.co.uk/product/coolclear-solar-deluxe/), but if you only need UV protection they do films for that too.

I've used it for years in multiple rooms, but like yours, my collection is NEVER exposed to direct or even bright natural light, so whilst I do have the film on the windows, it's difficult to say how effective it actually is as I refuse to really put it to the test and leave some valuable vintage item in sunlight, albeit behind the film. That would be like testing your airbag by deliberately crashing your car!

I bought some UV film for a small velux at the top of the stairs and it hasn't worked. Luckily there wasn't anything of much value around but some modern mocs have yellowed and a couple of posters have faded and they weren't in direct sunlight.
I'd only recommend using it like Jeremy as an extra layer of protection but get some heavy curtains for the window and keep them drawn most of the time.

Thanks, yes that's what I'm afraid of! Don't want to waste my time / money if it's ineffective.

I tend to agree, I don't trust these films so just keep my blinds almost shut most of the year, and my collection on walls that are not subjected to sunlight.
