User Signatures

A few people have pointed out to me that lots of people have signatures with massive images in them. I have set an image size limit but it doesn't seem to be deterring people from putting stupidly big images in them. Should I disable images in signatures so they are text only? Will let you guys decide.

If anybody else finds them annoying, you can turn them off in your UCP (which is what I do )

Surely if there is an option for everyone to turn them off if they wish, its irrelevant.

I for one would be gutted to be without my image as I (hope) it makes at least the odd person mindful.

I don't mind them when they are like the ones above, but some people on here have big pics more than one sometimes and I don't like them.

They don't bother me.. my mouse has a wheel, I can scroll. It's part of the forum and allows people to express themselves. Maybe people should just be encouraged to make them panoramic in aspect!

One image is fine but the ones who have 2 or 3 and especially large ones are a pain. I'm going to UCP to turn off as I didn't know you could do that.

Yes that's right it's either all or nothing I'm afraid, however I can disable signature images site-wide.

Shame. I like the signatures but not the large images. Perhaps just ask guys to limit to only one and give a dimension size?

Some of the animated ones are quite annoying. It's the ones that have a quick turnaround and last for only about 2 seconds. It's like they should have a warning on or something. Like the flash photography thing :lol: Todd's is ok ...and funny I dunno. Some of the large images are a little irritating but they don't make me feel angry or annoyed. Not really arsed either way

I have thought about removeing my vader signature and keep my spaceballs. But if I try to remove my vader and keep spaceballs then it says it is to big so I can't do it :?

Maybe it is the Helmet :lol:

While I have nothing personally against any of the signatures, it can detract from the posts and sometimes can make it confusing as to what's a post and what's a signature as people often put pics/vids in their posts.

And is ther eno way to resize your Spaceballs gif? Because that's the large one.
I don't mind the animated gifs, but i think i certain heigt/size (like todd's for example should be the max).

I think the idea of only one pic allowance is a good call, I also like the idea of the images needing to be stretched to fit in better with the feel of the forum, now how the hell do I do that :? :lol:
