Hey guys,

Hope all is well. So after deciding to take a break from the hobby i decided to build a lifesize Jawa. I owned one years ago but sold it on due to space issues. This is 80% complete now and there are only a few bits left to do. Best thing is that it has cost me the best part of £25 so far :D and a bit of work.

Enjoy

Now with a plinth :) all rocks are false btw, my little recipe :D

Well done matey... You can see a lot of time and effort has gone into it. I'm sure it's a nice get away from reality doing something like this, like fixing cars, or going fishing.

That looks bloody great 8) where's he going once complete ?

And here is the dirty, scavenging little bastard in all his glory :) I made the bandoliers and gave him a quick dirty up and all is done.

All in £30 :D #

Thanks for the nice comments guys.

That's awesome Lee, great work mate! I didn't know you were so good with your hands! (ooer!)

Its brilliant finished; very impressive stuff.
Did you take any work in progress pictures? I'd be very interested to see how you made all the elements and at that budget, who wouldn't! I know that time and skill is more valuable than materials, but I still doth my cap to you sir for creating such a great piece for such small outlay 8)

Thanks all.

Here i the rundown of total cost, including the blaste i made around a year ago:

Blaster made from plumbing parts, greeblies, odds and sods, a bit of 5x1 for the stock. The slanted nozzle on the end was made from a thermos mug interior which had its outer smashed. Cost for it all was around £10

Jawa was made from the following:

2 x brown throwover blankets £1.99 each from Primani (primark ) :D
Pattern as found on the net to cut the size. I also used the kids as models.
1 x black styrene dummy head £3
1 x eye lights £4
1 x wine rack that i brought home free from work a while back ( base)
1 bundle of plumbing parts to make mannequin £7
1 x roller gaffer tape
Spare bubble wrap i had lying around to beef the body up and strengthen with tape.
1 x 1m piece of leather look vinyl for bandoliers, plus paper fasterners as buttons £5

Ill try to do a build write up soon :)
