Has anyone else noticed a trend of people asking, and unfortunately getting, graded prices for good quality ungraded items?
1100 for a VCJ for example when 80/85s were only £1000-1150 a month or two ago?

A UKG graded 80 VCJ sold last night for £830.

VCJ's imparticular seemed to be getting hoovered up and graded meaning ungraded ones are more scarce. The price will eventaully balance out on this sort of item.

yeh was watching that and wanted to bid but bloody forgot

Just shocked how much the VCJ has rocketed in price :!: Still scratch my head on how Robbie Mullan of "Galactables" got around £1800 for an AFA 85 this or last year  I sold my AFA 85 example maybe 5/6 years ago for £600 :!:

I'm not in the market for one now and they way they are going up and probably never going to own one as it would likely be the choice between that and a holiday.

Sign of how many gullible people there are and the result of the must have it now mentality that is everywhere now. Its the same type of guy that buys a Trilogo Death Star gunner MOC with the £1.59 offer sticker and then asks how to remove it. No research, no knowledge just chucking money round.

Education was tried and the tool was still clearly not quite understanding it at the end. Even after he'd been told half a dozen times it was factory applied he was "hmmm, I suppose if it's factory applied I might leave it". Honestly, some people. And he claimed he only bought it because he couldn't find one without the sticker despite someone pointing out that about 2/5 of the last Gunners to sell at Vectis has been without stickers. Someone needs to keep him away from vintage MOCs.
