Sorry this is a U grade thing again but we were just talking about the U90 on RS that Rulair has and I remembered him having a MOC with an issue that he was trying to sell so figured they could be one and the same I thought I was mistaken but I guess not..

MOC -

He didn't sell it as an AFA 70 MOC for - $3,500

So he got it U graded -

Now a U90 and selling for - $3,250

What the hell s going on. This is outrageous. There must be god knows how many people who would give there right arm for an AFA 70 VCJ MOC. I honestly dont know how people can bring themselves to do this sort of ****. I cant even U grade a £15 Jedi MOC. It just seems all kinds of wrong! :twisted:

He hasn't sold the U90 either yet by the looks of it, what bugs me is that he shouldn't be buying things like this if he doesn't appreciate them, why buy something or trade for something you then try and sell, and when you can't sell it at the price you want - you mutilate it and create something else..

I am sure *someone* would have bought that as a MOC in the 2k+ range, if he got it as a bargain he could have let it go cheaper to someone who would appreciate it as a MOC not a loose Jawa. Just no excuse.

Agree with all of the above. It makes my skin crawl. Such a shame. It would be one thing to do it to a ROTJ beater but to such a rare and stunning piece is just soulless.
It was an MOC vinyl cape Jawa. It's now a loose Jawa that some bloke has put in a plastic case. Such idiocy.

Hit the nail on the head there Emi- he's validated (to himself) U grading it by trying to sell it at a huge price MOC first so in his head its ok to go ahead and butcher it. Apparently an AFA 80 MOC went for only 2k so why on earth he was asking 3.5k for his AFA 70 is beyond me- but thats not to say an AFA 70 Vinyl cape moc is worthless.. its a fine addition to someones collection at the right price - just leave it as it is..

This is all so silly... That Jawa is now a Loose Action Figure inside a plastic case and should now be worth just that. I don't care how pretty a COA is or who signed it... It's a freakin loose figure that looked a HELL of alot better in it's ORIGINAL packaging.

But, as Josh implies, we all knew that. We all hate U grades, and will continue to do so, and Rulair will not even bat an eyelid at the abuse this will result in.
It's a shame but the only way he will stop is if idiots stop paying stupid money for a "U grade" or if someone beats the **** out of him.
