U grading?

Ived been out of thge vintage collecting scene for some time...whats this "U-Grading" all about..?? it seems to me that you take a carded figure, open it then keep it in a 'star case' forever???...whats the point..??... sorry nif im sounding a bit stupid, but i gotta know...

Don't worry Obiwaan, it's not you that's stupid it's UGrading. And as to 'the point' there is none. It's a senseless and destructive fad.

just seen shawn-k's post about U-grading and been to 'powerofthetoys.com'....MY GOD THIS IS TRULY SICKENING....those pics of a HUGE number of opened backing cards just lying on the floor was truly stomach churning...i collect both carded and loose figures...i cant afford to pay around £70 when i want say, a carded greedo or hammerhead, so i will happy take a warm 'jedi' carded example for £20-£30 so even using 'tatty' carded examples is INEXCUSABLE...for gods sake, if you want an 'uncirculated' examplke, then why not simply leave it bon the card....it makes no sense...im truly, TRULY SHOCKED

Yeah, i'm never gonna buy one either. A graded 90 is just as good and it's the principle of the thing.
