The reason those 2 play nearly every game is because they are team players who always give 100% and Rafa knows it. I cannot name 2 better full backs who are not only solid in defence but Finnan is a quality crosser and Riise has the very best left foot in the business. 8)

Although one of the two names you constantly hear linked with Liverpool is Alves the defender (don't know his first name) and he's a full back.

Daniel Alves is more of an attacking wing back or winger than actual full back.
Arbeloa has been signed to give Finnan competion and if Alves does come he will be challenging Pennant for a place on the right which would allow Gerrard more games in the centre.
