tusken raider bend-ems MOC

The just toys line of bendems are virtually worthless. Possibly a couple of pounds each. Sorry, Gustie.

hah as i thought

want them?

The only thing of value from this line was the figure case. It was molded from the original kenner Vader one. Not many of these were made, as the bendems line sucked. If you find one of those it can fetch a good price.

Although most collectors think Bend Ems suck, without them Star Wars as a modern collectable may never have happened. It was only when JusToys picked the license that Kenner realised they had dropped a bollock and got it back and started to market test with Action Masters.
Bend Em's also introduced a new collectability not seen before in Star Wars collectables, with a pack in Topps card which was a tie in from the Galaxy range mean't that variation hunters had a field day. I know of one US collector who has over 800 variations and is still going.
They also made their own coin pack in promotion too.

The Vader case was not the only vintage product to be cast from, the unproduced wave had rubberised, retooled casts of Greedo, Boussh and Salacious Crumb all from the vintage line. They even had a large and small head Han variation too.

The Tusken is one of the nicer one and was abundant here in Woolworths, but not across other parts of the world. As a line they are very underapproeciated, especially given the heritage from vintage and their relevance to modern, but most carded figures can be picked up for under a fiver, however as interest is picking up on the variants, some bidding wars have been seen.

Sorry...Didnt realize some collectors were so passionate about this line. I had tons of them years ago and could hardly give them away.

only one collector

The problem with bendems is the some of the bubbles yellow worse than any other toy, which ruins their displayability :(

I've got a Luke X Wing carded :o

ok thanks

since nobody wants them here i guess ebay will have them - not expecting much now by the sounds of it! the bubbles are VERY clear and un yellow tho :)

There's quite a lot of them on ebay at the minute but no bids.

I'm tempted to get a Vader to look at, how big are the figures?

the tusken raiders are about 4inches tall quite chunky and feel quite heavy compared to vintage figures
