I've never seen those before. They look like they could be rip-offs. The art on the cardboard and the letters on the belts all looks a little sub-par. Not sure though and still pretty cool. Got to love the turtles
Stood a vintage raph next to this raph...completely identical the weapons are as well, love em anyway but going to do sme digging.
Bootlegs are usually rougher, different colour etc, these are just the same as vintage.
I know what you mean about there look Mike. The belts look rough for me though. Have they got peg holes?
Are they marked 'playmates toys' and dated '88?
I will check them mate, didnt realise they were bootleg, bought on a whim, he had em priced at a daft price, so offered a fiver and he agreed, so happy with that, they are for the lad anyway.
Barry.....Don't know mate, I can't find any info on these particular figures.
They may be Taiwan volume gear churned out, but the baggies plastic has that thin dull look of age to it so not sure, there is no date stamp i can see, or a date on the cardboard toppers so I will carry on digging.
Neil/Dennis...not glum happy with them...just feel a bit foolish that I didn't realise they were bootleg from the get go
I will keep an eye out for a Mikey.
All the turtle stuff is for my lad anyway ( joint collection) so it's all good.
