Tri-Logo Question

I just bought a "MoC" tri-logo A-wing and whilst the card and bubble are not in bad condition the figure has a fairly significant paint rub on his nose. I can't tell if it just whether he's just been rattling around in the bubble or it's something else. (Will post a picture when I get home)

The bubble edges don't seem to have the typical waffling - should I be worried about it being a re-card?

The nose bit is a pretty common phenomenon with A-Wing Pilots (also with Imperial Dignitary). Comes from rubbing against the bubble. I'm no expert in MOCs, but this is no red flag at least.

which is normal for a tri - well I hope so because mine don't have the 'pattern'

waffling on a tri would be a red flag - some of the bubbles are so firmly stamped down you can see their shape on the back of the card

In my humble opinion i would say it's the figure rubbing and knocking against the bubble. I have a Tri Dengar and he has paint missing from his body which is now on the inside of the bubble.
You should be able to see paint and scratches on the inside of the bubble where the figure has knocked against it rubbing the paint off.

I think it's widely suspected that they used to put figures into tri logo bubbles while the paint was still wet! I definitely used to have a few carded ones with "rubs" and paint on the inside of the bubble that were far too severe to have happened with dry paint.

Thanks for the replies guys. I can see coloured steaks on the bubble PGowdy.

On reflection I think it's ok. I'm just not that familiar with tri-logo's.

I have to agree there, especially with yak face, so many i seen with tons of paint smudges from the hands and the feet that the paint had to have still been wet. as for the bubble, it was mainly only the US domestic figures that had waffling.
