just wondering whether I should have bid more for it. It's just ended on ebay and I wasn't sure it was legit - I remember someone on RS mentioning a few of these turning up recently, which is always a bit sus.

Can't honestly say I have ever seen a sticker like that Andy, Kevin's QC find of Trilogo factory samples had completely different stickers.

I kind of want to say it's not real but I would be basing that purely on the fact that it I have never seen one before.

Although having said that, many things have Q.C stickers on them, electrical items for example so who knows..

I bought a Trilogo Tusken Raider with a "QC" sticker at CIV for $10.00. Unfortunately, I no longer have pictures.

I'm still in two minds whether it's real or not - the seller didn't make much of the sticker but it is located just where you might find a price tag tear

Jason's story makes then seem a bit more convincing - perhaps we'll never know

I used to work in Q/C for kays catalogue, we would have to pull samples of every single item that came into stock and get someone to give it a good looking over, more often that not it would be a whole shipping carton of stock that got checked.

Afterwards the item would get a little QC sticker placed on the packaging, and then it would be returned to stock.

That system was used by Kays for many many years, and i know other catalogue firms (littlewoods etc) done the same.

That Q/C sticker just looks like something we would stick on a item, only ours were white.
To me they are nothing special at all, nothing to do with kenner/palitoy etc.

just found this thread on scum, looks like that Q/C sticker could of been legit.

My memory just sucks. I forgot that I posted pics on scum. I sold it on Ebay for $20.00, when another collector I purchased it for pass on it.

A guy poster on RS a fews years back asking for more info about some Trilogos had had aquired with GM Q.C. stickers on.These were the real mccoy,and IIRC there was a Trilogo Jawa in there somewhere.

With regard to the picture of the Jawa, I mentioned this find earlier in the thread - The guys name was Kevin

The stickers are completely different and were probably not linked, the ones that Kevin turned up were all large stickers with some reference to Palitoy or the particular department they were sent to or used on them.

It is interesting however to note that two of these black QC stickers have appeared from completely different places, one a MOC in the UK and the other a cardback in the US.
