i need to learn to speak italian,so i was wondering if any of you teachers could sort me some books out :wink:
and if anyone new any good programs to translate my emails

I can get you some books but they will be about web-design or business studies, sorry mate.

Just speak loudly and slowly, repeat yoursefl only twice and then if they still dont understand the tear the place apart! At least you can be safe in the knowledge that you tried!

we got talking to a family on hol and they said we are more then welcome to go and stay with them
but want to be able to have a decent conversation
all the kids got on great and it was sad when we all came home as we got on that well

i would love to be able to speak another language but i am too bloody lazy

I know that there are websites that translate text for you, try babel fish

I lived in Holland for about 15 months (unfortunately nowhere near Amsterdam) went out with the intention of learning Dutch but they all spoke better English than me, so wasn't really much point.
Even the staff in McDonalds spoke English! :shock:
The staff in McDonalds over here don't even speak English, and that includes the ones that were born in Britain!

It's quite nice out there although at times it was a bit like living in a foreign Country :wink: (as Ian Rush once said!)
