Hi Guys
I am considering buying a couple of items of toytoni.com, just wondering if any of you have bought anything off him in the past? If so how was the experience, as i have never bought nothing from him before.

He generally has a good reputation. His stuff is a little over-priced at times and the photos are not necessarily of the item you will receive. His stuff is top quality tho.

Hi Guys.
Yeah they do all look in super condition, thats why i wasnt to sure. They look like they were produced yesterday!

Cheers.
Luke

Here's an MOC i own which came from toytoni. As you can see, the condition is unbelievable. 8)

That is one of the figures i just bought off him as well as a IG88 and Han Trenchcoat. I thought the prices were fairly reasonable considering how awesome the cards and bubbles are! :D

Hey Pete very nice MOC mate.

A common card but items that are mint are always desirable IMO no matter what they are.

It makes me cry when I look on his site and see all the Palitoy he used to have available, there is a pic of a 30bk Yoda that is unbelieveable

Pros: Great items, probably nobody else who has (had) better stock of dead mint MOCs.
Cons: Poor/slow communication, high prices, zero space for negotiation.

crap communication but excellent items and prices are decent, alot of his c8.5 are defo c9 quality

Agree with Ed 100%. I asked him for a pic of an item and waited well over a month for a response. PLus he's not even willing to listen to offers even tho his stuff is over priced and most collectors aren't touching it any more. He'd rather it sat there and rotted.

It just really annoys me when you're about to spend hundreds/thousands of pounds with somebody, and they won't even give you so much as a thanks, let alone offer free postage for buying 3 figures or whatever. I also once asked if I could come to Brighton to check stuff out before I bought it, but got no response. I've bought many things from him over the years, and each time it's felt like I'm doing him a favour. With such amazing stock, he would probably double his money with a little customer care.

Apparently he's an old school toy dealer and doesn't even like Star Wars, so that probably explains the short emails and lack of comms.

Thanks for the info guys! His comms dont seem that great, everytime i have e-mailed him i have got a reply which is less than 5 words long!!!

Quite glad someone else get this, I thought maybe he just didn't like me.

I only ever bought from him through ebay, not through his site- pretty much had the same experience as the rest of you but the items you get are quality as stated, I guess he is just a grumpy old bloke peddling SW toys

You have hit the nail on the head!

About 3 or 4 years ago I spent a large amount of money with him. Communication was terrible, no budging on his prices no matter how much I spent, but the items for the most part were outstanding. There were a few pieces that were overgraded, but the majority was spot on. I think I bought around 80 pieces and 5 or 6 weren't as expected. Not too bad.
I am from the States and had no problem with receiving my items in a timely manner.

Yeah I had a bad one with him BUT his stuff is top notch no doubt, just shitty attitude and blunt, not really much personality going on there in the emails. ;)

I've bought a few MOC's from him over the years via ebay & the website
All nice pieces...
If he was that bad he would have had them all AFA graded :D

80 items? Thats a lot of carded figures. Bet they all look awesome!
I had a lot of customers looking for mint carded stuff. It all sold pretty quickly. I hardly deal with carded figures anymore. Just not the market there used to be. Maybe it is because of the lack of interest in AFA nowadays.
