I thought I was done but I have to say I try to stay away from Rebel scum and FFURG (more on RS) alot more due to the amount of selfishness, rudeness, critisizem and just the overall feel that some (if not most) feel they are better than others. FFURG is too much of a click and RS I dont even know where to start. This forum has been nothing but open and for the most part friendly and fun (Remind me of the guys I went to school with). I have been collecting vintage star wars a long time (customs are only a fraction of my obsessions) and I feel just as equal to the new guys just buying their first vintage figure. It's great to have pride in something you created, I guess I just do not understand why you would not want to share it with others.regardless weather or not they make a ****in dime off it, you already stole the Kenner logo for christ's sake and they are someones elses work, have I ****ing lost something here??(Case in point, FFURG vault closure). I guess this makes me a bastard...Oh...well.

I do like your site though, I miss a lot of those auctions on ebay so its nice to see some of the rarer non-US items. That Harbert Greedo and Hammerhead look great, I've never seen those before 8)

No were not as bad as RS just yet but give it a few more years...!!

I remember the old days when this was just a Star Wars forum, now it's like reading the Daily Sport !!! :lol:

The censoring system on RS makes me laugh it allows 'piss' and variations thereof but you can't say 'sexy' :shock: :?
Although why you would be saying the latter on a SW forum is beyond me unless Slave Leia or Portman are shown in all their glory :mrgreen:
 
TFB: I don't know you nor, based on what I've seen in this thread, do I want to. I have nothing to do with the closing of the FFURG forums. I'm not an administrator and, frankly, they probably couldn't care less whether I thought closing the forums was a good idea or not. When asked, I do feel entitled to offer an opinion. As for RS, I'm certainly not in the "inner circle" and I often find myself on the outside looking in. However, if I ever do crack that nut, I'll let you know so you can hate me even more.

I can't believe I am the source of such animosity when I don't even know you and have never corresponded or talked with you before. Usually, such feelings are reserved for my friends to feel towards me :roll:

As for my "bragging", the number of hits per day is certainly not something to brag about. If it gets up to 1,000, then we can revisit my "bragging" on that issue. As for the other stuff, just trying to let you know that I'm a member of the SW community not some rouge poster complaining because you "called me out" about being a rip off artist.

Although you've withdrawn the statement, I'm still not sure why I was your target.

DW: Glad you like the blog. I unsuccessfully searched the web forever something similar. I think as it gains subscribers, I'll get more and more people sending me links so it will contain more and more content. That's something I really need to beef it up on. Pictures and prices are nice (after all, that is the point of the blog) but some more words would be better.

I don't think either of them are "RS boys" mate!
Well, no more than me or Bollux are "RS boys".

No idea what it's all blown up over, from what I can see Kevin's site is for information rather than selling, so I'm not sure why TFB seems to think he's a "rip off" artist.
BUT, I'm not getting involved, I'll leave that to our mods! :lol:
 
I'd say that if anyone wants to have a moan about another member then do it via pm's. Especially if everyone else does not know of the problem in question.
That way there's no need for meddling from mods, and its worked out pretty good so far :wink:

Kevin, if you need any input for your website then theres plenty of people on here who I'm sure could help, just ask :D
 
Hey Kevin, good to see you posting on here. I'll just say that I've done several deals with Kevin on rebelscum for various cardbacks and have found him to be a great guy to do a deal with and a knowledgable collector.

Not to beat a dead horse, but I share my stuff all of the time. I have a few other blogs I've done (which admittedly I need to update) regarding my custom blisters (http://customblisters.blogspot.com/), custom Star Wars cards (http://customstarwars.blogspot.com/), and custom GI Joes (http://customgijoes.blogspot.com/). I have a blog in the works for my custom Lego cardbacks and blisters as well as my custom MOTU. I simply love this stuff. Not sure where the hatred comes from as I do not even know you.

However, I am sorry that "we" have argued publicly so let's take it to pm if there's anything else that needs to be said.
 
Kevin. No need to argue further. I thought you were a MOD at RS. This was my ****ing mis-understanding. I believe I took out my frustrations with a majority of the RS community on you. My first short post was more just to get a reaction which I obviously received. For the record, me saying "ripoff artist" was just me spouting stupid banter(once again) sorry I offended you and mistook for one of the Arrogant breed of collectors. As far as customs go, I put hard work into the figures and I work hard to make sure the gloss and feel of the cardback are correct. Some images I have created, some others I have borrowed from the custom community and I see nothing wrong with that. Hopefully you understand. Now lets stop arguing in front of the Brits, as so far alll they have seen is one american with a kenner dump in his backyard and me posting grannie porn. Hate to set a bad example :D

This woudnt happen at RS. They do not like people with potty mouths or peoples opinions that differ with their own. W e would have been given the boot. :D

I definately need all of the help I can get :) I'd like to make the blog as comprehensive as possible and all cover all non-USA toy, toy related (adverts, flyers, etc.), and other cool stuff (i.e., Tril Logo Plush Ewoks, puzzles, etc.). I really need to beef up the Palitoy stuff but its a long process.

If anyone sees anything cool that woud be a nice addition, please feel free to pm me the link! That would be great.
