Artoo-Detoo (R2-D2) (With Sensorscope):

I really liked this r2 figure, it was one of my first figures that I got when I was a kid and had 2 of them. The first one I had with me many times in the bath and the stickers got wet and later got more and more damaged. The 2nd one I got years later and I was more careful with that one so no damage on that one and he never came with me in the bath :ROFLMAO:

Here are my 2 loose ones, plus a sealed baggied one which came with his friends in the Kenner 'Rebel Command Centre Adventure Set'.

On the left, a Smile II, 1a

On the right, a Unitoy I, 1a

I like visually different figure variants, and these two are different, but you do need to look closely to see it! The blue stripe on the outside of the legs is darker on the Unitoy, but also the stickers are completely different, as are the figure sculpts. Just look at the height and top of the domes, and the sensorscopes, which are very different from one another.

And here's the same image again, but this time adjusted in Photoshop to make the COO's more legible.

Lovely examples thanks for sharing

Three special sensorscope R2's:
- Meccano red "free sample" sticker baggie
- Meccano 65 back with the old 20/45 back bubble
- Meccano Trilogo with a solid dome R2 (intended by Meccano to be a solid dome, not a miscard!)

I've never seen the 65 back R2 bubble before. Lovely items.

I relly love the R2's all of them, but the sensorsocpe was a nice little upgrade when it came along, I did always wonder why they never did a 3 legged one as standard, i have a droid factory one in the loose run though, seems they missed a trick with that, figures like this one that got multiple incarnations always makes me thing why we never got a different vader sculpt, as it was one of the most poular figures but he remaind the same throughout.

Nice to see a few baggies in the FOTW for a change, cracking meccano red sticker one that.

Here's one of my more difficult to find & identify R2 SS baggies, usually mistaken for ESB-h but it's a much small euro baggie if you give it a double take.

Euro-g baggie, usually easy to spot these as the figure will only fit in diagonally, obviously with the R2 being so much smaller it's easy to miss that.

Thanks frank for sharing this cool baggie, I don't think I have ever seen this variant of baggies before (y)
