I hope it is real, it not can kenner76 then get his money back ?
If he had it graded himself I would assume so if CAS's policiys are the same as AFA, I am uncertain how one would go about that if bought from someone else after grading, I think it very strange to have herd nothing back from them since my last email as said they were very quick to respond untill I made it very clear I would like to know exactly what provenance the item is authenticated by, fingers crossed just them taking their time getting back to me & they do indeed have something solid to go by.

Unfortunately, I bought it from a toy shop in Cincinnati off of eBay in 2021. It had just come back from grading and came with a CAS coa. I'd hope they had good reason for saying it's authentic.

I would have thought stuff from 2001 was real but after all the toy toni stuff then I guess we can't be sure

Here's my loose one. Only got it at Christmas, really like it. Looks great floating on an acrylic stand.
Didn't have the play set as a kid and not planning picking it up now but I do like the droid (y)
I especially like the "Benny Hill" gripper arm :D
Thanks mate for sharing it with the forum, it looks mint

Oops, 2021. I mistyped. It was graded after the huge fake baggie scandal, so I figured it was in the clear.
oh that changes a lot 2021, thanks for the update. I hope Frank learnes that it is real and not a resealed or custom made baggie. There is nothing worse for a collector to learn that someone have sold you fake stuff.

Sorry to be wasting your time. I am not a collector, just really enjoy seeing what's out there. R2D2 is one of 3 of my favorite characters of all time. So, is yours a full sized model? Thanks.

R2 is definitely my favourite character.
That one next to probe droid is a vintage from the 12" larger scale line. R2 is obviously scaled down in size to somewhat match the 12" dolls.
I did have a full sized one a few years ago though (y)

"I did have a full sized one a few years ago though" Seriously? Why did you get rid of it??

Honestly, it was just straight forward buyers remorse and guilt at the expense.
I'd just retired and everyone was saying I should treat myself.
I'd never spent that much money on myself and it just didn't sit well with me.

I get that. 😁People are always telling me that, but just as I'm about to do it I think about Christmas or a grandson's birthday & how I'd really rather spend it on them. (-: Besides I have 3 kids and 3 grandsons so who would I leave it to when I died? (-: My oldest son used to work for George Lucas & I'm afraid there might be a fight over a life-sized R2D2! 🤣Have a wonderful evenibg.
