Amanaman:

01.jpg

I never had the Amanaman figure when I was a kid and I never saw it for sale. But it was sold in denmark, I guess the other kids got it before me :ROFLMAO: Well most of the figure are great but the hands and the weapon could have made a lot better so they would match each other for kids to play with it :(

There you go. Have the cardback somewhere but not sure which tin it's in.

I like Amanaman. Yes he's big, and yes he's obscure, but he's exactly the sort of weird alien creature that helped make Star Wars special to me :). I only found out Kenner had made the figure long after I'd stopped collecting back in the 80's, when I bought Sansweet's brilliant 'Star Wars: From Concept to Screen to Collectible' book in the early 90's. At that point, I didn't even recognise the character as being from Star Wars! My attention had clearly been elsewhere during my many previous viewings of 'Return of the Jedi', and I had to go back and watch it again specifically with a view to finding Amanaman before I finally spotted him!

Anyway, here are my figures and a POTF MOC.

From left to right:

Smile I, 1b, Spray Mask B, 'Small ears', orange eyes, M1 Smile Amanaman Staff
Smile I, 1a, Spray Mask A, 'No Ears', red eyes, M1 Smile Amanaman Staff

(N.B. the eye colour is really hard for me to differentiate! I *think* they are as described above, but they could both be orange or both be red! They look slightly different from each other to me, but perhaps my own eyes are playing tricks on me :))
