Agreed, but likewise on finding a good original paint job. Whoever painted these back in the 70's did a really lousy job!Tricky little fella to pick up without any paint rubs I'm sure you will agree.
Do you know what Blue Snag is rarer/difficult to find?
Wow! There's not a lot of love for Snaggletooth in this latest Toy of the Week thread so far. I will start to correct that here and hope some others will join me in sharing their reds and blues
I've always liked the Snaggletooth figure, ever since I was a child fighting battles with him in the Palitoy Cantina back in the 70's! Together with Walrus Man (aka Bum Face), Greedo and Hammerhead, they WERE the resident population of the Cantina as far as I was concerned. Fantastic alien creatures to flesh out the wonderful world of the greatest film ever made. Of course as a kid in the UK back then I knew nothing of the blue Snaggletooth figure (dented or otherwise), and hence it came as quite a surprise in the early 90's when I got back into collecting vintage that such a bizarre and fascinating, if completing inaccurate, extra Cantina patron also existed! I was lucky enough to pick one up fairly quickly after that, but it took me quite a few more years to finally complete the set by adding a good condition dented toe variant to the mix.
Anyway, enough waffle. Here are mine, plus a Palitoy 20-back Reseal. From left to right:
Blue Snaggletooth (No dent in boot) Smile I, 1a, M1b Smile blaster
Blue Snaggletooth (Dent in boot) Smile I, 1b, M1b Smile blaster
Red Snaggletooth (Standard red). Painted cuffs, Smile III, 1b, M1b Smile blaster
Red Snaggletooth (Standard red). Unpainted cuffs, Smile III, 3bb, M1b Smile blaster
Red Snaggletooth PBP (Deeper red). PBP2a, M1b Smile blaster
I agree kenner did not a great job with paint in this one.Tricky little fella to pick up without any paint rubs I'm sure you will agree.

I hope I can share my snaggletooth collection soon, I have hurt my left knee and right ankle after running so I sit most of the time in the couch or lay in the bed, it hurts a lot when I try to walk and just try to stand up![]()
Nice memoriesThis figure i bought loose around 5 years ago, however i did have this as a child. I remember in the early 80's my sister went on a french exchange through her school and as a gift she brought back a carded snaggletooth and i remember as a 4 year old, looking at the cardback and being disturbed by the foriegn writing where it should have said Star Wars!
