That moc are amazing thanks for sharing it. How the **** could he loose the head so you had to glue it on again ? did he end up in a fight with a wookie ?My Palitoy/Clipper MOC, childhood figure (with glued on head), and minty loose display figure.
Thanks, Lars! I did a swap with my friend and my Mum said it looked too scary, so I had to give it back... I got cross and threw it at the coffee table and the head came of. Unintentional, of course, but I then didn't have to give it back! That moc are amazing thanks for sharing it. (My apologies for the lateness of this post. My time hasn't been my own again just lately, plus to be fair, the final (and hopefully correct!) V2 rifle didn't arrive in my collection until today anyway!)
All Zuckuss figures look alike! That's what I used to think, and whilst they are all pretty similar at first glance (and a second one too!), there are differences to be found. As usual, the Lili Ledy versions are perhaps the most different, but even there those differences aren't massive. The mid section is painted grey rather than silver, the eyes and nose are darker and glossier shades of blue and red, and the rifle is a dull greyish black instead of the shinier solid black seen on the Kenner versions. That said, the Unitoy II L1a?, R1b?* (4th from the left below) stands out as having the darkest body out of my lineup.
* N.B. the brilliant Variant Villain website has not yet finished its Zuckuss page, and so there are a few COO's missing from its photo library. For that reason, I have had to mark most of my COO's with question marks until I have pictures of all of the available COO variants, as I cannot yet be 100% sure of the definite identities of mine. Also, the VV site has not yet got a page on Zuckuss's rifle, and hence I have used The Imperial Gunnery's 'V1, V2 and V3' designations instead.

'Metallic' body & limbs, matte grey head. Silver belt. No knee/heel circles. Body & limbs different shades. Very narrow stance. Smile I, L1a?, R1b? Figure, V1 Rifle
'Metallic' body & limbs, matte grey head. Silver belt. No knee/heel circles. Body & limbs different shades. Narrow stance. Smile I, L2a?, R1b? Figure, V1 Rifle
'Metallic' body, limbs & head. Silver belt. Knee/heel circles. Body & limbs same shade. Darker body. Narrow stance. Unitoy II L1a?, R1b? Figure, V2 Rifle
'Metallic' body & limbs, matte grey head. Silver belt. Knee/heel circles. Body & limbs same shade. Very narrow stance. Unitoy II, L2b, R1a? Figure, V2 Rifle
Lili Ledy. 'Metallic' body & limbs, matte grey head. Grey belt. Darker red nose, darker blue eyes. Knee/heel circles. Body & limbs same shade. Narrow stance. Lili Ledy II, L2b, R1a? Figure, Lili Ledy V3 Rfle
Thank you.Excellent, as ever, Jeremy!
Thanks, Lars. Thanks for sharing your awesome zuckuss collectionDo you know which rifles that are smile, unitoy, lili ledy and kader ?
I have found my zuckuss figures today but it could be fun to match them with correct weapons before I take some pictures![]()
Thanks, Lars.
The Variant Villain website has not been fully updated for Zuckuss yet: https://www.variantvillain.com/characters/esb/zuckuss/
However, it seems that there are only Smile, Unitoy and Lili Ledy variants for this figure. Because the Lili Ledy variant is derived from the Unitoy mould, and because the Ledy variant's rifle is known (a V3), and because that rifle appears to be the same mould as the V2, until the Variant Villain website tells me otherwise, I must assume the V1 rifle is Smile, V2 is Unitoy, and the V3 is (definitely) Ledy.
I hope that helps
Jeremy
I agree there really isn't much of a difference, however this is what the VV website reports:Thanks jeremy
It is hard to see the difference between the Smile R1A and the R1B can you see anything ?![]()
Maybe I just don't have them both, I tried to check them last night and all of them had the dot the same place even with a magnifying glassI agree there really isn't much of a difference, however this is what the VV website reports:

The dot after the first 'L' of 'L.F.L.' has shifted position very slightly. I used a magnifying glass on my own figures and it was still tough to see, but I think I've got it right! A bigger difference to my eye is the position of the horizontal line forming the lower part of the first 'L'. In the R1a it is angled downwards, whereas in the R1b it is angled upwards.
That's quite an army you have there! Another excellent collection. Thanks for sharingFinally I got some pictures of my zuckuss figures
