Real nice to c one 8) just a shame about the damage :(
However as the seller says mission to find another.
Got my clean example from 'Star Zone Toys' a few years ago and Darren said he got that in 94 and hadn't seen another for many years after :!:

I've been after one of these for some time - and I was prepared to go to £150, even with the damage but £200 was just a bit too rich for me. Glad the seller got a good price for it.

The search continues...

And it's back -

Mmm, buyers guilt perhaps? £200 was a lot, even if it is rare, it's badly damaged. I might have another stab at it, I can actually repair one side of it but the other side is too far gone. My bet is, I'll manage to win it, and another one will appear 2 days later in pristine condition with a buy it now of £50 and I'll miss it by seconds.

I've seen quite a few listings sell recently and then reappear. There seems to be a trend in this on ebay although I only really look at Star Wars related items so it's hard to know if this is common with other things.

I'm wondering if it's disgruntled buyers who have missed out on things in the past bidding them up just to spoil the sale?

Best of luck with securing the sign though, shame you didn't bag it the first time around as the seller would have at least got their money.

Or people belieivng they will get more with a few shill bids :?

That's another possibility.....hard to say what's going on at the moment although I don't remember seeing it quite this bad before.

To be honest, I was offered the sign outside of ebay - but the guy insisted I paid as a paypal gift - which of course rang alarm bells. Even when I offered to pay the fee AND he'd be better off as he's not paying the ebay fees - which are now based on final sales - not just the insertion fee - something he just didn't understand.

This guy has sold off a ton of stuff, some really, really nice items. Managed to get the ESB Give-A-Show set MIB, but we'll see where this goes now...

Sounds a bit strange that he wouldn't accept your payment with you paying the fees. You were absolutely right not to send as a gift as I'd say you want all the cover you can get with this guy.

Time will tell how this one goes.

That's strange, I'm guessing you didn't get it?

No buddy, I just wasn't comfortable paying over the £150 mark, not in that condition. If a really good one came available I'd go all in but that water damage, and the terrible ware to the other side was just too far gone for me.

It's just weird to see it go for exactly the same amount again.

Maybe another will appear when people realise the kind of money it can achieve.

Best of luck with another turning up.
