A guy who doesn't believe the Toy Toni scandal is real. A product of the modern collecting world where real knowledge is buried in seconds to people showing off their unopened cardboard boxes.

WTF
That is possibly the stupidest thing I've read this year

This would be great but you would also have to allow reserves and that could lead to too much admin involvement

I disagree, if you want to auction something rather than sell it for a fixed price in hope you will make more money, you should also have to take the risk that it may sell for less than you wanted.

I see what you mean, I suppose I was just thinking that not everyone is trying to screw as much as they can, they just hope to achieve a fair price but don't want a hundred quid MOC to go under £50.
Maybe a better idea would be the start price is limited to 50% of the expected market value.
Stormtrooper £7 start, Klaatu MOC £15 start and so on

It's awesome  Jason Joiner & Jason Smith are really the same person & the whole scandal is really just a fake scandal so people can buy cheap PBP figures on cards

The sad thing is Aaron really does have a fantastic eye for detail with loose variants just some of his theories are wacky.

That guy always seems to get his comments across at the slightest whiff at a TT... he really does believe they are real and the scandal was a big hoax.... I wonder if he really is Toni in disguise...lol.

I have crossed paths with Aaron in the past over stuff ironically he didn't believe was real but is.

He is a bit of a conspiracy theorist I think, but he does spend a lot of time researching variants to the most minute detail. I wonder if that's why some of his theories are so highly strung.

So how does he explain the iron marks on the earlier ones? What about the lack of machine press mark on the back? That's just the tip of the iceberg. Nutter

I believe that "Toy Tony" is a mythical evil figure made up by children to scare grown ups from spending large sums of their child's inheritance on toys.........................And I also believe that the moon is made from cheese. CHEESE I TELL YA!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is going to be there with the most BS you can write in a paragraph!!

I tried to write a post in an attempt to address the several loose r2 pop-ups that are hitting £350+ in the last few days. Yes, you read that correct.

It's been great to see people that I have not got a clue who they are read it, like it and make some comments.

Some though... to say I genuinely begin to think that some people are just thick is close to the mark.

I have to say though that the unity between Jabba's Palace, Echo Base and Yavin has been good on this. All 3 groups are concerned about the reasons why prices are being driven up. Guys on all groups have sounded off.

I think it's very likely someone will set up a new group very soon. Someone who has been in the hobby for 6 months and is now an expert. I think we will see a lot of the flash in the pans migrate to the group to worship their new overlord. And good riddance.

vcjs .... sigh..... that'll probably the next figure going nuts. How long before one hits £2k loose?

Another r2 pop potf FS last night $550. Graded AFA85. Nice to see an r2 loose going for a more sensible £230 last night.

Honestly if you were so inclined and had a grand to invest on Ebay you could double it in a week on Facebook

VCJs have been nuts for years already, will always be a £250 figure in my head.

:o leia blaster £50 sold....

i dunno i think im loosing touch with this vintage malarky...

im sure you could pick up a complete for the same price

Which Leia blaster was it? The first 12, mint and complete seem to go for £80+. That's what I think in my head anyway.

I had someone argue with me using a 'quote' from aussiejames  That guy is an idiot  Then block me so I couldn't keep arguing with myself

Oh don't get me started on the non-Star Wars garbage I see on FB every day, flat earth and fake moon landings anyone?

The amount of ***** I see posted to justify the belief the moon landings were faked is laughable. People who clearly haven't got a clue about how physics, photography, etc... work but believe that the landings were faked because "You can't see the stars in the photos".

I have a friend on fb who used to be a colleague around 15 years ago. He's a really intelligent guy who's into "don't believe the lies from the media/government" in a big way, which is fine. He's also an engineer and has an exceptionally strong logical and rational mind. He's also into astrology.
